BOLT!
Just who is this chicken- loving, absent -minded, video -game -playing

FASTEST MAN EVER?
It took just 9.69 seconds for Usain Bolt to become one of the most famous men on the planet. The Jamaican sprinter' breezy running style seized Gold in the 100m at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, destroying the world record and leaving his rivals to fight for seconds. As he sauntered over the line, one shoelace undone and a smile on his face, having sloed down to begin his celebrations early, the world was won over. It was, quite simply, one of the most extraordinary moments in sport.
Days later, he won in the 200m and sprint relay. A year later, he bet his own 100m record - in 9.58 seconds.
Now, as the London Games approach, we have the prospect of watching him all over again. He's determined to defend his Olympic titles to become a "legend," he says, only this time he promises to be faster - maybe winning the 100m in 9.4 seconds

Ice Cream can take the heat

Fried ice cream is delicious.
In Asia it is served wrapped in pastry, while elsewhere it is rolled in coconut flakes or cornflake.
The crucial thing to ensure during preparation is that the balls of ice cream are kept extremely cold before being wrapped in puff pastry or coated in egg and crumbs,
after which they must go straight back into the freezer.
This ensures the ice cream survives the 15 seconds it has to spend in the deep – frying pan without melting significantly

It will soon be possible to produce  food without plants or animals

Although all foods ultimately consists ‘only’ of fat, protein and carbohydrates molecules, their basic building blocks are individual atoms. Theoretically, we should now be able to assemble these atoms to create molecules artificially. However, what sounds so simple in theory is extremely complicated and expensive in practice – that is if it can be done at all. Scientist can already take single muscle cell and propagate them in large number under laboratory conditions. The same process could one day be used to grow meat in a laboratory so that there would be no longer be any need to slaughter animals. Nevertheless, before these cell cultures can be made into anything resembling a traditional steak, they must grow into a three-dimensional form, undergo strength training – just the same as real muscle tissue. We should not, therefore, expect to see a affordable product on our supermarket shelves in the foreseeable future.
